The Easy Flow system installs directly under the sink and connects to your existing cold water line, giving you filtered drinking water straight from your current faucet. No plumbing modifications are required, and most installations take 15 minutes or less.
Before You Begin
- Tools needed: #1 size Phillips screwdriver (supplied), two wrenches (supplied), a flashlight, and a towel or shallow tray to catch excess water.
- Safety first: There must be a shutoff valve installed ahead of the system. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. Cold water use only, and protect the system from freezing to prevent cracking and leaks.
- Batteries: The system's Filter Life Indicator requires 2 AA batteries (included).
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
- Remove the screw from the black battery cover on the bottom of the unit using the supplied Phillips screwdriver. Install the two included AA batteries, ensuring the + and – terminals are aligned correctly, then replace the cover.
- Shut off the cold water to your faucet by turning the cold water valve under the sink clockwise.
- Turn on the cold water faucet to release pressure and drain the water until it stops. Leave the faucet open.
- Place a tray or towel under the cold-water line to catch excess water, then use a wrench to disconnect the cold-water hose from the cold-water line near the shutoff valve (do not disconnect it from the faucet).
- Connect the system's cold-water inlet hose (white) to the cold-water shutoff valve, ensuring a tight connection (typically 5 turns).
- Connect the cold-water outlet hose (blue) to the cold-water hose still connected to the faucet, using one wrench to hold the existing fitting steady while tightening the blue hose fitting with the second wrench.
- Wipe down the system and surrounding area so it's dry, then slowly open the water shutoff valve counter-clockwise while checking all fittings for leaks.
- Open the faucet completely and let water flow for 15 minutes to flush the filter. If carbon fines (fine black particles) appear, continue flushing until the water runs clear.
- Press and hold the Filter Life Indicator Button for 5 seconds. The blue light will flash 4 times to confirm the filter life timer has started.
