A: It is strongly recommended to pair the AM‑50BAJ with a H9320‑51 Single 4HC‑H Water Filter System to reduce chlorine, taste, odor, and particulates. Proper filtration extends machine life and ensures crystal‑clear ice.

- Place the icemaker indoors or outdoors on a firm, level surface with proper clearance (15" at front, space at rear for connections).
- Ensure the unit is at floor level on a finished floor, even if installed under a cabinet.
- Connect the cold water supply line (1/2" FPT inlet, minimum 10 psi, maximum 113 psi). Install a shut‑off valve.
- Connect the drain line (1/2" FPT outlet) with a proper air gap to a floor drain. If using optional drain pump HS‑5061, follow pump instructions.
- Plug into a grounded 115V, 60Hz, 3‑prong outlet (NEMA 5‑15). Do not use extension cords or adapters.
- Level the icemaker front‑to‑back and side‑to‑side by adjusting the feet.
- Check all connections for leaks, then switch the control to “ICE” to begin operation.
