The Everpure EV910003 (A-20) is a 20" single bowl filter housing that holds any 20" drop-in filter or softening cartridge. ThePentair EV910003 supports flow rates up to 5.0 GPM through 1/2" FNPT inlet and outlet connections and includes a mounting bracket for easy installation. It needs no electrical connection to operate. Cartridges are sold separately.
Before You Begin
- Tools needed: a drill or screwdriver, a level, two adjustable wrenches, PTFE (plumber's) tape, food-grade O-ring lubricant, a tube cutter or utility knife for your supply lines, a bucket, and a towel.
- Safety first: Install on the cold water line only. Your water supply should be within 10–125 psi and 35–100°F, and the service flow must not exceed 5.0 GPM. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection.
- Cartridge: The A-20 holds one 20" drop-in cartridge, sold separately. Choose a filter or softening cartridge for your application and confirm its flow rating is suitable for your setup.
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
- Choose a mounting location that can support the full weight of the system when it is full of water, with the bowl hanging straight down and enough clearance below it to lower the bowl and lift out a 20" cartridge.
- Shut off the cold water supply, then secure the mounting bracket to a solid surface with suitable fasteners and hang the housing on it.
- Wrap the 1/2" FNPT threaded connections with PTFE tape, then connect the supply line to the housing inlet and the line to your equipment to the outlet, following the flow direction marked on the filter head.
- Unscrew the bowl, inspect the O-ring and lubricate it if needed, drop the cartridge into the bowl, and thread the bowl back onto the head until snug. Do not over-tighten.
- Turn the water supply on slowly and inspect the bowl and all fittings closely for leaks.
- Flush the system according to the instructions that came with your cartridge before returning it to service.
