The Everpure EV910002 (A-11) is a 10" opaque utility filter housing that holds any 10" drop-in filter or softening cartridge.The Pentair EV910002 supports flow rates up to 5.0 GPM through 1/2" FNPT inlet and outlet connections and includes a mounting bracket for easy installation. It needs no electrical connection to operate and is commonly used for pre-filtration in high-sediment foodservice applications. Cartridges are sold separately.
Before You Begin
- Tools needed: a drill or screwdriver, a level, two adjustable wrenches, PTFE (plumber's) tape, food-grade O-ring lubricant, a tube cutter or utility knife for your supply lines, a bucket, and a towel. Because the housing has 1/2" female (FNPT) threads, you will also need matching 1/2" male fittings for your water lines.
- Safety first: Install on the cold water line only. Your water supply should be within 10–125 psi and 35–100°F, and the service flow must not exceed 5.0 GPM. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection.
- Cartridge: The A-11 holds one 10" drop-in cartridge, sold separately. Choose a filter or softening cartridge for your application and confirm its flow rating is suitable for your setup.
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
- Choose a mounting location that can support the full weight of the system when it is full of water, and secure the mounting bracket to a solid surface so the housing will hang vertically with the bowl pointing down. Leave at least 2-1/2" of clearance below the bowl for cartridge changes.
- Shut off the cold water supply, and turn off power to any equipment served by the system. Install a manual shut-off valve in the water line if you don't already have one, so the filter can be serviced easily later.
- Hang the housing on the bracket, wrap the 1/2" fitting threads with PTFE tape, then connect the supply line to the inlet and the line to your equipment to the outlet, following the flow direction marked on the filter head.
- Unscrew the bowl by hand, inspect the O-ring and lubricate it if needed, then set the cartridge on the guide seat in the bottom of the bowl. Screw the bowl back onto the head by hand until firmly seated. Do not use a housing wrench.
- Turn the water supply on slowly and inspect the bowl and all fittings closely for leaks.
- Flush the system according to the instructions that came with your cartridge, then restore power to your equipment and return the system to service. Replace the cartridge on a regular 6-month schedule, or sooner according to its rated capacity.
