The Zurn Z843M1 is designed for straightforward wall-mount installation above a service or mop sink. Professional installation by a licensed plumber is strongly recommended to ensure proper water supply connections and code compliance.
Key Installation Requirements:
- Wall-mounted (on-wall) installation only
- Hot and cold water supply lines with 1/2" male-threaded nipples (protruding ~3/8" from the wall) that connect to the faucet’s 3/8" short swivel inlets.
- Supply centers between 7-1/4" and 8-3/4" (adjustable)
- Solid wall surface to secure the adjustable wall brace
- No electrical connection required (manual operation)
Important Notes Before Installing the Z843M1:
- Integral service stops are built in, so water to the faucet can be shut off for maintenance without a separate valve.
- The atmospheric vacuum breaker is not intended for continuous-pressure applications. Don't leave a shut-off nozzle on the hose outlet under constant pressure.
- Always refer to the official Zurn Z843M1 Spec Sheet for detailed rough-in dimensions, mounting requirements, and compliance information.
Basic Installation Overview:
- Shut off the hot and cold water supplies.
- Adjust the 3/8" short swivel inlets to match the supply centers (7-1/4" to 8-3/4").
- Install the supply arm assemblies onto the 1/2" wall nipples (with sealant), then attach the faucet body to the supply arms using the provided gaskets.
- Secure the adjustable wall brace to the wall above the faucet.
- Open the integral service stops and check all connections for leaks.
- Test both handles and the vacuum breaker spout for proper operation.
