FAQ

Q: What is the factory preset pressure for the Zurn 34-NR3XLP and can it be adjusted?

A: The Zurn 34-NR3XLP comes factory preset at 50 psi with an adjustable reduced pressure range of 15 to 75 psi. Anytime the valve is adjusted, a pressure gauge must be used downstream to verify the correct pressure setting. Do not bottom the adjustment bolt on the bell housing.

Q: Can the Wilkins 34-NR3XLP be installed in any orientation?

A: Yes, the Model NR3XL may be installed in any position. However, sufficient side clearance must be provided for testing and maintenance access, and local plumbing codes must be followed.

Q: When should multiple pressure reducing valves be installed instead of a single unit?

A: Multiple installations are recommended for applications with wide demand variations or where the desired pressure reduction ratio is more than 4 to 1 (for example, reducing 200 psi inlet pressure to 50 psi outlet pressure).

NOTICE: Do not use with water that is unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection either before or after the system.
