Local codes shall govern installation requirements. Unless otherwise specified, the assembly shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturers' instructions and the latest version of the Uniform Plumbing Code. The critical level mark on the assembly shall be mounted at a minimum of 12 inches above the highest downstream piping or outlet. Install with sufficient side clearance for testing and maintenance. The installation shall insure that no part of the assembly can be submerged.
