The Zurn 2-950XLTBFSS is installed in potable water service lines where low hazard backflow protection is required. Installation can be horizontal or vertical (with flow upward). Indoor installation is preferred in areas subject to freezing conditions. When installed outdoors, the device must be protected against freezing conditions with protective enclosures. The unit must be installed at least 12 inches above surrounding flood level. Top access check covers allow maintenance without removing the unit from the line. Test ports protected by plugs prevent fouling.
