The Pentair 4005730 (RC-LCT) is the replacement cartridge for the Pentair Easy Flow Under Counter Water Filtration System (Model 4005450). It is not a universal cartridge and is designed to fit only the Easy Flow system.
Step-by-Step Replacement Guide
- Shut off the cold water supply by turning the cold-water valve under the sink clockwise.
- Turn on the cold water faucet to release pressure and drain the remaining water from the hose. Leave the faucet open.
- Press and hold the Filter Release Button while holding the base firmly, then pull up on the old filter to remove it.
- Insert the new Pentair RC-LCT filter into the base of the Easy Flow system — an audible click confirms it's properly sealed.
- Open the water shutoff valve by turning it counter-clockwise and open the faucet completely and let water flow for 15 minutes to flush the new filter. (Some carbon fines or cloudiness may appear at first — this is normal and will clear.)
- Press and hold the small Filter Life Indicator Button for 5 seconds — the blue light will flash 4 times to confirm the replacement timer has restarted.
