Q: Does the Haws 1011HSA Series require a dedicated electrical connection?
A: Yes. The bottle filler requires a 120VAC/60Hz, 15-Amp GFCI-protected circuit connected to the supplied junction box. The drinking fountains themselves are push-button operated and do not require electricity.
Q: How often does the filter cartridge need to be replaced on the 1011HSA?
A: The included Electronic Lifecycle Control filter cartridge is rated for 3,000 gallons. A built-in replacement indicator light alerts users when it is time to change the cartridge. Replacement filters (Model 6428-C, pack of 12) are available separately.
Q: What is the auto purge feature on the Haws 1011HSA Series and why does it matter?
A: The auto purge feature automatically cycles water through the bottle filler once every 24 hours if the unit has not been used. This helps maintain a fresh water supply and ensures drain trap integrity, which is especially important in lower-traffic installations.
