The Everpure EV910010 (CGS-10) is a low-profile Slim Line single bowl filter housing for 10" drop-in cartridges. It is made of durable polypropylene and supports flow rates up to 2.0 GPM through 3/8" inlet and outlet connections. the Pentair EV910010 ships fully assembled with a water pressure gauge, a pressure-relief button for cartridge changes, and a wall mounting bracket with hardware. The cartridge is sold separately.
Before You Begin
- Tools needed: a drill or screwdriver, a level, two adjustable wrenches, PTFE (plumber's) tape, food-grade O-ring lubricant, a tube cutter or utility knife for your supply lines, a bucket, and a towel.
- Safety first: Install on the cold water line only. Your water supply should be within 30–125 psi and 40–100°F. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection.
- Cartridge: The CGS-10 holds one 10" drop-in cartridge, sold separately. Choose the cartridge type for your application, and keep the service flow within the 2.0 GPM housing rating and the rating of your cartridge.
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
- Choose a mounting location that can support the full weight of the system when it is operating, with the bowl hanging straight down and at least 2-1/2" of clearance below it for cartridge changes.
- Shut off the cold water supply, then secure the wall mounting bracket with the included hardware and hang the housing on it.
- Wrap the threaded connections with PTFE tape, then connect the supply line to the housing inlet and the line to your equipment to the outlet, following the flow direction marked on the filter head.
- Unscrew the bowl by hand and clean it with a mild detergent solution. Inspect the O-ring and lubricate it if needed, drop the cartridge into the bowl, and thread the bowl back on by hand until snug. Do not use a housing wrench.
- Turn the water supply on slowly, check the pressure gauge, and inspect the bowl and all fittings closely for leaks.
- Flush the system according to the instructions that came with your cartridge before returning it to service, and replace the cartridge every 6 months or when capacity is reached or pressure drops.
