A: Use a cold water feed only, and stay within the recommended operating conditions of 35–100°F (2–38°C) and 10–125 PSI (0.7–8.6 bar), non-shock. Allow 3" of clearance below the system for housing removal and cartridge replacement. Flush the cartridge at installation and every cartridge change, and log each replacement date so changes stay on schedule. Do not run unsafe or unknown-quality water through the system without adequate disinfection before or after the cartridge.
