Q: What contaminants does the Elkay LZSDWSSPRO-FLP4-FSR5 filter system reduce?
A: The FLP4 filter is certified to NSF/ANSI 42, 53 & 401 to reduce Total PFAS (as defined by NSF/ANSI 53), lead, microplastics, cysts, asbestos, turbidity, chlorine taste & odor, and more. The FSR5 Sediment Prefilter adds a first stage of protection by capturing dirt, sand, and larger particles before they reach the main filter.
Q: How often does the filter need to be replaced on this unit?
A: The FLP4 main filter is rated up to 4,000 gallons (approximately up to one year after installation). The FSR5 Sediment Prefilter should be replaced every six months or as needed based on local water quality conditions. The unit's automated filter status system will alert you when it's time for a change.
Q: Does the Elkay LZSDWSSPRO-FLP4-FSR5 require a dedicated electrical connection?
A: Yes. This unit requires a 115V/60Hz power supply at 5A full load. While water dispensing and bottle filling are electronic sensor-activated (hands-free), the electrical connection powers the LCD display, Smart Connected features, and the automated filter management system.
