The Elkay LZWSRK Retrofit Kit transforms an existing EZ style drinking fountain into a modern Bottle Filling Station with filtration. It’s an ideal solution for upgrading non-filtered fountains into filtered units, providing cleaner, safer hydration in schools, offices, and public spaces.
We advise that NON-CHILLED fountains less than 10 years old are suitable for a retrofit. We advise that CHILLED fountains less than 5 years are suitable for a retrofit.

A: No. The retrofit is non-refrigerated and uses the compressor from your existing fountain, if applicable.
Q: How Do I Know If This Retrofit Is Right For My Setup?
A: Send your existing fountain’s serial number to support@bottlefillingstations.com. If you can’t locate it, email a picture of your fountain for assistance.

- Turn off the water supply and power to the cooler before starting.
- Remove the lower front panel and basin assembly from the cooler to access plumbing and wiring.
- Mount the retrofit bottle filler wall plate securely above the cooler basin, using the provided hardware.
- Install the WaterSentry® Plus filter (EWF3000) by attaching the filter head and connecting tubing to the cooler’s water line.
- Reconnect the drain, bubbler, and electrical wiring as shown in the instructions.
- Pressurize the water system by reconnecting tubing and ensuring proper flow through the solenoid valve and evaporator.
- Reinstall the basin assembly, cover plates, and bottle filler top cover.
- Plug the cooler back in, turn on the water supply, and test the sensor activation for proper dispensing.
- For detailed steps, refer to the installation manual provided in the package or contact a licensed plumber/electrician.
- Replace the filter every 12 months or when the status light indicates end of life.
- Green = good filter, Yellow = replace soon, Red = replace now.
- To replace: shut off water and power, remove the old filter, insert the new one, restore power and water, then flush 2 gallons.
- Clean stainless steel and plastic surfaces with mild soap and water; avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Check tubing and fittings regularly for leaks.
