How to Install the 98466C:

  1. Turn off power and water supply to the drinking fountain.
  2. Remove the front panel to access the existing solenoid valve assembly.
  3. Disconnect wiring and fittings from the old valve.
  4. Install the new 98466C assembly, ensuring proper alignment with fittings and regulator.
  5. Reconnect wiring and fittings, checking for secure connections.
  6. Restore power and water supply, then test the fountain for proper operation.


How to Maintain the 98466C:

  1. Inspect regularly: Check for leaks or irregular water flow.
  2. Clean strainer: Remove and rinse the strainer screen to prevent debris buildup.
  3. Check fittings: Ensure press‑in fittings and O‑rings remain secure and undamaged.
  4. Replace filters: Maintain Elkay WaterSentry® filters to reduce strain on the valve.
  5. Annual check: Have maintenance staff inspect solenoid and regulator performance during routine service.
