Zurn Z6915-XL Faucet Installation Guide

Installation

  • Turn off water supply and remove any existing faucet; flush supply lines thoroughly to remove debris.
  • Place sensor connector wire and shank through cover plate gasket and lavatory hole; orient black plastic mounting washer slot upward.
  • Install mounting washer, star washer, and mounting nut; ensure sensor wires pass through slot without pinching.
  • Attach sensor connector wire from faucet to electronics module; align pins carefully and secure with locking ring.
  • Mount electronics module to shank using hex nut and gasket; tighten securely without thread sealant.
  • For battery power: remove battery cover screw, install four AA alkaline batteries, and replace cover. For plug‑in power (-ACA option): remove sticker and connect adapter.
  • Install inlet filter directly to electronics module water inlet; connect tempered water supply via 3/8" x 1/2" ball riser. If using optional mixing tee (-MT) or mixing valve (-MV), connect hot and cold supplies to compression inlets.
  • Turn on water supply and check for leaks; activate sensor to verify proper operation.
  • For detailed steps, refer to the Zurn Z6915‑XL installation manual or contact a licensed plumber/electrician.

Maintenance

  • Replace solenoid rebuild kit (P6900‑SRK) if faucet drips or runs continuously; clean diaphragm and plunger tip.
  • Clean inlet filter screen (P6900‑MV‑7) periodically to prevent clogging; reinstall securely.
  • Replace batteries when red light in sensor eye flashes; always use fresh alkaline AA batteries.
  • Clean faucet exterior with mild soap and water; avoid abrasive or chemical cleaners that damage chrome finish.
  • Inspect sensor and electronics connections regularly; reset electronics by shorting battery terminals briefly if faucet fails to operate.
  • Always use genuine Zurn replacement parts to maintain warranty and performance.
  • For service or repairs, consult the manual or a certified Zurn representative.
