The Everpure EV910067 (IN-6PG-S), also listed as the Pentair EV910067, is a compact 6" inline scale-prevention filter with a 100% phosphate cartridge. It inhibits limescale formation to help extend the life of low-volume equipment such as single-pot coffee brewers. It is rated for a maximum service flow of 0.5 GPM, uses 1/4" inlet and outlet connections, and is designed to be replaced every 6 months. It is a scale-prevention-only filter and does not reduce chlorine taste or odor.
Step-by-Step Replacement Guide
- Shut off the water supply to the filter and relieve pressure by opening a nearby faucet or the equipment's dispense valve until flow stops. Place a bucket and towel under the filter to catch residual water.
- Disconnect the 1/4" inlet and outlet water lines from the old IN-6PG-S filter, then remove the used filter from its mounting position behind the equipment.
- Inspect the water lines and fittings for wear, kinks, or debris, and trim or replace any damaged tubing as needed to ensure a proper seal.
- Connect the new IN-6PG-S filter in place of the old one, attaching the supply line to the inlet and the line to your equipment to the outlet, with the filter in the correct flow direction.
- Turn the water supply back on slowly and check both connections closely for leaks.
- Flush the filter at full flow for 3 minutes before returning the system to service, then note the install date so it can be replaced in 6 months.
