Installation
To install your Elkay LIV EZ Built-in Filtered Water Dispenser, ensure you have a water line available. A qualified plumber should perform the installation if you're unsure about making these connections.
- Cut a wall opening measuring 19-1/2"H x 14-1/2"W at approximately 59-2/5" from the floor.
- Verify the wall cavity depth is at least 3-1/2" (89 mm) to accommodate the unit.
- Route the 3/8" water line through the opening at the base of the dispenser.
- Level the unit and secure it to wall studs using 4 screws (not included).
- Install the 3 AA batteries in the battery compartment.
- Insert the filter into the filter head and turn clockwise to lock in place.
- Connect the water line to the shutoff valve at the filter's inlet.
- Open the water supply and check for leaks.
- Flush the system by dispensing at least one gallon of water before regular use.
- Attach the glass front cover using the included Phillips head screws.
Maintenance
To keep your Elkay LIV EZ in optimal condition:
- Replace the filter and batteries annually.
- Monitor the filter status light - pulsing red indicates 91.6% capacity used, solid red means immediate replacement needed.
- Remove the front panel screws when replacing the filter.
- Turn off the water supply before filter replacement.
- Rotate old filter counterclockwise to remove it.
- Install new filter by turning clockwise until locked.
- Turn water supply back on after filter replacement.
- Press the reset button above the battery compartment to reset the filter light.
- Maintain water pressure between 40-105 psi (60 psi optimal).
- Regularly check for leaks around connections.
- Clean exterior with mild detergent and soft cloth as needed.
