Q: Are Filtered versions of the LK4420DB drinking fountain available?
A: Outdoor Fountains & Bottle Fillers do not come with filters, because water could freeze if you live in a cold climate.
However, you can set up an in-line filtration in a wall or a close-by building with suitable temperatures.
Select the EF3000VRBC filtration kit "Add-On" to supply filtered water.

Q: Are Refrigerated versions of the LK4420DB drinking fountain available?
A: Outdoor Fountains do not come included with chillers.
However, you can supply refrigerated water by installing a remote chiller within 15 feet of the fountain. Proper housing conditions must apply to assure the remote chiller is protected from any elements.
Add to Cart the ECH8 (8 Gallon / Hour) or ER101Y (10 Gallon / Hour) remote chiller to provide cold water.
Q: What colors are available for the Elkay LK4420DB?
A: This outdoor drinking fountain comes standard in Evergreen, Black, Blue, and Gray. Other color options below require a minimum order of 10 units.

NOTICE: Do not use with water that is unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection either before or after the system.
Installation
To install Elkay & Halsey Taylor Freestanding, Outdoor Bottle Filling Stations, ensure the surface is smooth, flat, and finished, capable of supporting at least 300 lbs. Protect the unit from extreme temperatures if it’s in a non-temperature-controlled environment. A licensed plumber should perform the installation, and a shut-off valve must be installed on the water supply (not included).
- Refer to the rough-in for plumbing.
- Secure the unit with 3/8" fasteners (not included).
- Connect the water supply and drain lines, adhering to local codes. Use a 3/8" O.D. unplated copper tube for the water supply and a 1-1/2" IPS for waste.
- Flush the copper lines to remove debris before connecting. Push tubes straight into fittings without soldering.
- Position the drain pipe and aesthetic collar correctly, then secure the bottle filler with the provided hardware.
Maintenance
To keep your Elkay & Halsey Taylor Bottle Filling Station in optimal condition:
- Clean the exterior regularly with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Inspect water connections for leaks regularly.
- Ensure the water inlet pressure is between 20-105 PSI. Use a pressure-reducing regulator if it exceeds 105 PSI.
- Winterize the unit if it’s in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
- Flush the supply lines regularly to prevent sediment buildup.
