The Zurn Z871C4-XL is designed for straightforward deck-mount installation on commercial kitchen sinks and countertops. Professional installation by a licensed plumber is strongly recommended to ensure proper water supply connections and leak-free operation.
Key Installation Requirements:
- Deck-mount installation on a sink or countertop with faucet holes on 8" centers
- Maximum deck thickness of 1-1/2"
- Two 1/2" lavatory supply risers (not included)
- Hot and cold shut-off stops (not included)
- Maximum water pressure of 125 PSI and maximum water temperature of 180°F
Important Notes Before Installing the Z871C4-XL:
- The faucet does not include supply risers, shut-off stops, or plumber's putty — these must be supplied separately by the installer.
- The 8" gooseneck spout can be set up as rigid or swing during installation — choose the configuration before tightening the spout nut.
- Hand-tighten the mounting nuts and do not overtighten.
- Always refer to the official Zurn Z871C4-XL Spec Sheet for dimensions and compliance information. Zurn notes the dimensions are for reference only and should not be used for pre-plumbing.
Basic Installation Overview:
- Apply plumber's putty to the underside of the faucet body.
- Set the faucet on the sink deck and hand-tighten the mounting nuts from below, keeping the faucet centered.
- Connect the 1/2" lavatory supply risers to the faucet with the included riser nuts.
- Install the gooseneck spout into the base in the rigid or swing position and tighten the spout nut.
- Turn on the water supply, operate the faucet, and check all connections for leaks.
- Reinstall the handle screws and color index buttons, then hand-install the aerator.
