Installation
- Shut off hot and cold water supplies before beginning installation.
- Place faucet base plate on lavatory sink; apply plumber’s putty or silicone sealant if required for watertight seal.
- From underneath the sink, position mounting bracket on studs and secure with hex nuts; tighten firmly.
- If faucet includes pop‑up or grid drain, install assembly per instructions (apply putty under flange, connect tailpiece, tighten gaskets and nut).
- Connect left inlet tube to hot water supply and right inlet tube to cold water supply; avoid kinking tubes during connection.
- Install aerator of choice (standard 2.2 GPM, vandal‑resistant 1.5 GPM, spray outlet 1.0 GPM, laminar flow, or flow control 0.5 GPM) using washer and key if required.
- Turn water on, remove aerator, and flush valve for 1 minute to clear debris; check for leaks under sink.
- Replace aerator and verify proper water flow.
- For detailed steps, refer to the Zurn Z7440‑XL installation manual or contact a licensed plumber.
Maintenance
- Replace cartridge assembly with limit stop (RK7440‑CART) if faucet leaks from handle; tighten retaining nut snugly.
- Clean aerator periodically to remove debris; reinstall securely to prevent angled spray or leaks.
- Adjust temperature limit stop by removing handle, repositioning stop on cartridge, and reinstalling handle.
- Clean faucet finish with mild soap and water; avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes that may damage surface.
- Always use genuine Zurn replacement parts to maintain warranty and performance.
- For service or repairs, consult the manual or a certified representative.
