Zurn Z6920-XL

Installation

  • Turn off water supplies to the sink and remove any existing faucet; clean the basin and flush supply lines before connecting the new faucet.
  • Place the spout base gasket onto the shank of the Zurn Z6920‑XL and insert through the sink hole.
  • Secure the spout using the plastic mounting washer, star washer, and mounting nut; ensure the slot in the washer faces forward and do not pinch the sensor cable.
  • Carefully screw the aerator into the spout using the included tool; take care not to pinch the blue O‑ring.
  • Install the electronics module: connect the sensor inline connector to the module, then attach the module to the shank and tighten securely.
  • For battery‑powered units, open the battery compartment with the supplied Allen wrench and install batteries. For ACA plug‑in units, connect the AC adapter. For HW6 hardwired units, connect the adapter leads to the screw terminals (black dashed wire to +, solid black to –).
  • Connect the water supply line(s) to the electronics module; ensure fittings are tight but not over‑torqued.
  • Turn on water supply and allow the faucet sensor to perform automatic calibration (do not engage the sensor for 30 seconds after connection).
  • For detailed steps, refer to the Zurn Z6920‑XL installation manual or contact a licensed plumber/electrician.

Maintenance

  • Clean exterior surfaces with mild warm soapy water; avoid abrasive or chemical cleaners that can damage chrome plating.
  • Protect the sensor lens from cleaning chemicals or solvents when cleaning the surrounding area.
  • Inspect aerator periodically for debris buildup; remove and clean as needed.
  • Check sensor cable connections for bent or broken pins if faucet becomes non‑responsive.
  • Replace batteries when voltage is low or LED indicator flashes; verify power supply for ACA or HW6 units.
  • Disconnect water and power before servicing internal components to avoid hazards.
  • For service or repairs, consult the manual or a certified service representative.
