Zurn Z6913-XL and Z6915-XL Installation Guide

Installation

  • Turn off the water supply and remove any existing faucet; flush supply lines to clear debris.
  • Place the sensor connector wire and shank through the gasket and lavatory hole; secure with mounting washer, star washer, and nut. Ensure sensor wires pass through the slot without pinching.
  • Attach the electronics module to the shank using the provided hex nut and gasket; connect sensor wire to the module before installing batteries or plug‑in adapter.
  • Install either the battery pack (4 AA alkaline) or the ACA plug‑in adapter as specified; secure covers properly.
  • Connect the supplied inlet filter to the electronics module water inlet. If using a mixing tee or mixing valve option, connect hot and cold supplies to the compression inlets and attach the outlet to the module.
  • Connect tempered water supply using a 3/8" x 1/2" ball riser (by others) to the inlet filter or mixing assembly.
  • Turn on water supply and check for leaks; verify sensor activation and proper water flow.
  • For detailed steps, refer to the installation manual provided in the package or contact a licensed plumber/electrician.

Maintenance

  • Replace batteries when the sensor LED flashes red; use 4 new alkaline AA batteries.
  • Clean or replace the inlet filter periodically to maintain proper flow.
  • Inspect solenoid valve for debris if faucet fails to shut off or continues running; rebuild or replace using the solenoid repair kit if necessary.
  • Check sensor cable connections for secure engagement; reseat if loose.
  • Clean exterior surfaces with mild soap and water; avoid abrasive or chemical cleaners that may damage finishes.
  • Verify water pressure remains within the recommended 20–80 psi range for consistent operation.
  • Disconnect water supply before servicing internal components to avoid hazards.
  • For service or repairs, consult the manual or a certified service representative.
