Installation
- Install the stop valve assembly using the proper size supply escutcheon and sweat solder adapter kit if applicable.
- Ensure the O‑ring seal is seated in the groove at the end of the tailpiece before inserting into the stop valve; wet with water if lubrication is needed.
- Insert the flush valve tailpiece into the stop valve and hand‑tighten the lock nut; plumb the unit vertically.
- Measure and cut the vacuum breaker tube to the required length; assemble with spud nut and gasket to connect flush valve and fixture spud.
- Hand‑tighten spud nut and vacuum breaker tube nut, then adjust the valve assembly for plumb and tighten all nuts securely with a wrench.
- Flush supply piping to remove debris before opening stop valves; follow procedure to remove valve body cover and working parts, flush, then reinstall.
- Gradually adjust the stop valve open using the adjusting screw until the fixture evacuates properly without excessive flow.
- For detailed steps, refer to the installation manual provided in the package or contact a licensed plumber/electrician.
Maintenance
- Inspect diaphragm assembly, trip mechanism, and seals periodically; replace with appropriate rebuild kits if worn or damaged.
- Check handle assembly for leaks; tighten or replace handle seals and gaskets as needed.
- Clean or replace vacuum breaker components if water leakage or reduced performance is observed.
- Adjust the control stop to balance quiet operation with proper fixture evacuation.
- Clean chrome‑plated surfaces with mild soap and water; avoid commercial cleaning compounds.
- For seasonal shutdowns in freezing conditions, drain the valve by removing stop valve internals after shutting off the main supply.
- For service or repairs, consult the manual or a certified service representative.
