Installation
- Verify that AC power is turned OFF using a voltmeter or inductive probe; follow lock‑out/tag‑out procedures before installation.
- Loosen the two cover screws and rotate the integrated cover plate to access the internal enclosure (4" x 4" x 2‑1/8").
- Secure the P6000‑HW6 enclosure to a frame or stud using at least two suitable fasteners; do not remove the supply from the enclosure.
- Connect AC service conductors: black (line), white (neutral), and green/green‑yellow (frame ground) using UL‑approved terminals or connectors per NEC/local code.
- Verify continuity between the enclosure and the frame/safety ground supply line.
- Form conductor leads to allow proper cover installation; secure the cover with the two screws.
- Restore AC power and measure low‑voltage output with a DC voltmeter; verify ~7.6 VDC output.
- Attach product leads to low‑voltage output terminals using M4.0 or #8 ring/spade crimp terminals (not provided); red (+), black (–).
- For remote runs under 40', use 18AWG UL‑rated cable (CMP, CMR, CMX) as specified in NEC for plenum or wall installations.
- Ensure ground jumper remains installed for sensor circuit noise reduction; do not remove.
- For detailed steps, refer to the installation manual provided in the package or contact a licensed electrician.
Maintenance
- Disconnect AC power before servicing to avoid electric shock.
- Inspect wiring connections periodically for secure terminations and signs of wear.
- Check enclosure mounting screws to ensure the P6000‑HW6 remains securely fastened.
- Verify low‑voltage output (~7.6 VDC) during routine checks; replace unit if output is unstable.
- Clean exterior surfaces with a dry cloth; avoid moisture or chemicals inside the enclosure.
- Confirm ground jumper is intact and properly connected for reliable sensor operation.
- For service or repairs, consult the manual or a certified service representative.
