Reverse osmosis drinking water system guide

Installation

  • Turn off the cold water supply before starting.
  • Mount the RO system vertically under the sink, leaving clearance for cartridge changes.
  • Install the feed water adapter on the cold water line and connect the inlet tubing.
  • Drill a 1-3/8" hole in the sink or countertop if no faucet hole is available, then mount the RO faucet securely.
  • Connect the drain saddle valve to the sink drain line and attach the reject water tubing.
  • Install the storage tank with the tank valve and connect it to the system using the blue tubing.
  • Insert the cartridges in order: Prefilter (ROM-PRE), RO Membrane (ROM-G75), Postfilter (ROM-PST).
  • Turn on the water supply, check for leaks, and flush the system as directed (initial flush cycles may take several hours).
  • For detailed steps, refer to the installation manual provided in the package or contact a licensed plumber.

Maintenance

  • Replace the prefilter and postfilter cartridges every 12 months.
  • Replace the RO membrane every 12–24 months depending on water quality and usage.
  • Flush the system after long periods of non-use (such as vacations).
  • Check tubing and fittings regularly for leaks.
  • Clean exterior surfaces with mild soap and water; avoid harsh cleaners.
  • Test product water periodically to ensure the system is reducing contaminants properly.
  • For service or repairs, consult the manual or a certified technician.
