Frequently Asked Questions

Turn off the water supply before removing the used cartridge. Hold the old filter securely, rotate it to release it from the manifold, and carefully pull it downward. Insert the new 4HC-H cartridge into the filter head and twist it clockwise until it is securely locked. Restore the water supply, flush at least five gallons, and inspect every connection for leaks before returning the system to regular use.

Compatible 4HC-H systems use the Hoshizaki H9655-11 replacement cartridge for a single-cartridge purchase. The cartridge is compatible with H9320-51 single, H9320-52 twin, and H9320-53 triple filtration systems. View the Hoshizaki H9655-11 4HC-H replacement cartridge for specifications and purchasing information.

Replace each 4HC-H cartridge after approximately 21,000 gallons or every 6–12 months, depending on water conditions and usage. A single H9320-51 system has a 21,000-gallon capacity, while twin and triple configurations provide approximately 42,000 and 63,000 gallons respectively.

After installing the new cartridge, turn the water supply back on and flush at least five gallons through the system. Flushing helps clear trapped air and loose carbon fines before the filtered water is supplied to the connected ice machine or dispenser.

Routine cartridge replacement is relatively straightforward when the existing manifold is correctly installed and accessible. However, new system installation or changes to the plumbing connections should be completed according to the supplied manual and local plumbing requirements. Contact a licensed plumber or certified service representative when the fittings, valves, tubing, or manifold require repair.
