The Everpure EV910006 (IN-10, 6 Pack) is a 10" inline granular activated carbon filter with scale control and 1/4" John Guest quick-connect fittings included. It is designed for low-volume single-pot coffee brewers, espresso machines, and ice makers, where it reduces chlorine taste and odor and inhibits limescale buildup to help protect your equipment.
Step-by-Step Replacement Guide
- Shut off the water supply to the filter and relieve pressure by opening a nearby faucet or the equipment's dispense valve until flow stops. Place a bucket and towel under the filter to catch residual water.
- Release the 1/4" inlet and outlet lines from the quick-connect fittings on the old IN-10 filter by pressing in the collar and pulling each line out, then remove the used filter from its mounting position behind the equipment.
- Inspect the ends of the water lines for wear, kinks, or debris, and make a clean, square cut on each line if needed to ensure a proper seal.
- Connect the new IN-10 filter by pushing the supply line into the inlet fitting and the line to your equipment into the outlet fitting until each is fully seated, with the filter in the correct flow direction.
- Turn the water supply back on slowly and check both connections closely for leaks.
- Flush the filter at full flow for 3 minutes before returning the system to service, then note the install date so it can be replaced in 6 months.
