Everpure EF Series Installation Guide

Installation

  • Turn off cold water supply and relieve pressure by opening faucet.
  • Verify under‑sink mounting location: measure 15" (EF‑1500), 20" (EF‑3000), or 22" (EF‑6000) from cabinet base for filter head placement.
  • Ensure adequate clearance above head for shut‑off valve operation and below cartridge (2‑1/2") for future replacement.
  • Apply plumber’s tape to union fittings and elbow; connect to inlet side of filter head and secure with screws and washers.
  • Connect braided tubing from cold water shut‑off valve to filter head inlet; connect outlet tubing back to faucet cold line.
  • Insert Everpure EF cartridge (EV985850 EF‑1500, EV985750 EF‑3000, EV985550 EF‑6000) into head: push upward, align lug with label, rotate clockwise 1/4 turn until seated.
  • Lift QC valve handle to stop flow; lower handle to flush system. Run water for at least 5 minutes to purge air and carbon particles.
  • Activate Timestrip® filter timer by pressing bubble until red line appears; adhere timer near installation site for replacement tracking.
  • Check all connections for leaks; tighten fittings as needed.
  • For detailed steps, refer to the Everpure EF Series installation manual or consult a qualified plumber.
