Installation
To install Elkay Freestanding, Outdoor Bottle Filling Stations, ensure the surface is smooth, flat, and finished, capable of supporting at least 300 lbs. Protect the unit from extreme temperatures if it’s in a non-temperature-controlled environment. A licensed plumber should perform the installation, and a shut-off valve must be installed on the water supply (not included).
- Refer to the rough-in for plumbing.
- Secure the unit with 3/8" fasteners (not included).
- Connect the water supply and drain lines, adhering to local codes. Use a 3/8" O.D. unplated copper tube for the water supply and a 1-1/2" IPS for waste.
- Flush the copper lines to remove debris before connecting. Push tubes straight into fittings without soldering.
- Position the drain pipe and aesthetic collar correctly, then secure the bottle filler with the provided hardware.
Maintenance
To keep your Elkay Bottle Filling Station in optimal condition:
- Clean the exterior regularly with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Inspect water connections for leaks regularly.
- Ensure the water inlet pressure is between 20-105 PSI. Use a pressure-reducing regulator if it exceeds 105 PSI.
- Winterize the unit if it’s in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
- Flush the supply lines regularly to prevent sediment buildup.
