The Elkay LF2 Aqua Sentry® Filter System Kit provides reliable filtration for Elkay drinking fountains and bottle filling stations. Designed for a 500‑gallon capacity at 0.5 GPM, it reduces chlorine taste and odor, particulate, and other contaminants. The system uses the Elkay 56192C Replacement Cartridge for continued performance.
Key Installation Requirements:
- Install filter head and bracket securely with adequate clearance for cartridge changes
- Connect cold water supply line only (40–100°F operating temperature)
- Use 3/8" O.D. tubing for inlet and 1/4" O.D. tubing for outlet connections
- Flush system thoroughly before use to purge air and carbon fines
- Follow local plumbing codes and regulations for installation
Important Notes Before Installing:
- Do not connect to hot water lines
- Replace cartridge every 500 gallons or 6 months, whichever comes first
- Depressurize system before servicing or replacing cartridge
- Ensure tubing ends are cut square and free of burrs to protect o‑rings
- Use only genuine Elkay cartridges to maintain certification and performance
Basic Installation & Replacement Overview:
- Mount filter head and bracket securely to wall or frame
- Connect cold water supply line to filter inlet
- Connect outlet tubing to cooler or bottle filler union
- Insert cartridge into filter head and rotate clockwise until locked
- Turn on water supply and flush system for 5 minutes
- Inspect all connections for leaks before returning unit to service
- For replacement: shut off water, relieve pressure, remove old cartridge, install new 56192C cartridge, flush, and test
