The Elkay EZSTL8SC is designed for straightforward wall-mount installation and ships in a single box. Professional installation by a licensed plumber is strongly recommended to ensure proper water supply, drainage, and electrical connections.
Key Installation Requirements:
- Wall-mounted (on-wall), indoor installation only
- 115V / 60Hz GFCI-protected electrical outlet
- 3/8" O.D. copper water supply line with shut-off valve (not included), 105 psi maximum
- 1-1/4" O.D. trap (not included)
- At least 6" clearance between the cabinet louvers and the wall for ventilation
Important Notes Before Installing the EZSTL8SC:
- The unit does not include the shut-off valve or 1-1/4" trap. These must be supplied separately by the installer.
- If the wall cannot adequately support the unit, add a fixture support carrier such as the MLP200 In-Wall Carrier.
- Always refer to the official Elkay EZSTL8SC Spec Sheet for detailed rough-in dimensions, mounting requirements, and compliance information.
Basic Installation Overview:
- Confirm the wall structure can support the unit weight (approx. 72 lbs shipping weight).
- Remove the hanger bracket from the back of the cooler and anchor it securely to the wall using all six 1/4" mounting holes.
- Install the drain trap, then hang the cooler on the bracket, making sure the slots on the back engage properly.
- Remove the lower front panel and connect the water supply and drain lines according to local codes.
- Check all connections for leaks, then reinstall the lower front panel.
- Plug into a GFCI-protected outlet and test operation of both bubblers.
