Installation
- Disconnect power to the unit before beginning installation to avoid electric shock.
- Assemble the filter head to the bracket if not already preinstalled; mount securely in a location where the filter cartridge will sit above the head.
- Connect the inlet and outlet tubing to the filter head using 3/8" O.D. copper or plastic tubing; do not use stainless steel or glass tubing.
- Shut off the water supply before starting installation to prevent leaks.
- Remove the protective cap from the new Elkay EWF3000 filter.
- Insert the filter into the filter head and turn 1/4 turn to the right until it locks into place, with the front label clearly visible.
- Turn the water supply back on and check all connections for leaks.
- Flush the system by dispensing water for 10 minutes to purge air and fine carbon particles.

Maintenance
- Replace the Elkay EWF3000 filter after 3,000 gallons of use or 1 year, whichever comes first.
- Flush the system by dispensing water for 10 minutes after each filter replacement to clear air and carbon particles.
- Inspect tubing connections regularly for leaks and reseat if necessary.
- Clean exterior surfaces with mild soap and water; avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure water pressure remains within the recommended 20–105 psi range and operating temperature between 40–100°F.
- Reset the filter monitor if equipped, ensuring the status indicator returns to green.
