Installation
- Elkay recommends professional installation for the ECTRUAD241755 undermount sink; inspect the sink for damage before beginning.
- Use the cutout template provided in the carton (or DXF file from elkay.com) to prepare the countertop opening; select either 1/2" reveal or 1/8" no‑reveal profile as desired.
- Ensure the countertop is a solid surface material (granite, Corian®, etc.); cut sink opening and mounting holes prior to installation.
- Loosely fasten optional mounting brackets (LKUCLIP8) into pre‑drilled holes in the countertop underside.
- Apply a continuous bead of silicone caulk (not furnished) evenly around the top of the sink flanges.
- Position and align the Elkay ECTRUAD241755 sink under the countertop opening; press the flange and silicone firmly against the underside of the countertop.
- From underneath, lightly tighten fasteners with a screwdriver until snug; check alignment and then tighten fully. Do not overtighten.
- Wipe away excess silicone with a clean rag; allow caulk to cure before connecting plumbing.
- Follow all local plumbing and building codes; for detailed steps, refer to the Elkay ECTRUAD241755 installation manual.
Maintenance
- Clean the Elkay ECTRUAD241755 sink daily with mild detergent and a soft cloth; rinse and dry to prevent mineral deposits.
- Dry the sink after each use to avoid water spots or soap buildup.
- Use Elkay bottom grids or rinsing baskets to protect the sink surface from scratches.
- Run cold water when pouring boiling water into the sink to prevent thermal shock.
- Avoid storing open containers of bleach, acids, or chloride‑based cleaners beneath the sink; vapors can cause corrosion.
- Do not leave standing water, coffee, or tea in the sink as they may stain the surface.
- Light scratches are normal and will blend over time; use non‑scratch pads (blue Scotch‑Brite) if needed, never steel wool or green pads.
- Recommended cleaning products include Bar Keeper’s Friend Soft Cleanser, stainless steel cleaner & polish, or mild detergent.
