The Elkay 0000000746 Filter Head & Bracket Kit Assembly is an OEM replacement kit designed for EZH2O® bottle filling stations and coolers. It includes the filter head, mounting bracket, John Guest fittings, and screws for secure installation.
Key Installation Requirements:
- Disconnect electrical power before servicing the unit
- Shut off cold water supply prior to installation
- Mount filter head in a suitable location using supplied bracket and screws
- Allow at least 13" clearance below filter head for cartridge installation/removal
- Connect cold water supply through shut‑off valve and 3/8" O.D. tubing
- Outlet connection uses 1/4" O.D. tubing to union fitting
- Do not connect to hot water line
Important Notes Before Installing:
- Maximum inlet pressure: 105 psi; install regulator if pressure may exceed this
- Maximum inlet temperature: 100°F (38°C)
- Use only copper, semirigid nylon, or polypropylene tubing — not soft/braided tubing
- Ensure tubing ends are cut square and free of burrs to protect o‑rings
- Always comply with local plumbing codes and regulations
Basic Installation Overview:
- Mount filter head and bracket securely to wall or frame
- Connect 3/8" O.D. tubing from cold water supply to filter inlet
- Connect 1/4" O.D. tubing from filter outlet to cooler/bottle filler union
- Insert filter cartridge into filter head and rotate clockwise until locked
- Turn on water supply and flush system to purge air and carbon particles
- Inspect all connections for leaks before returning unit to service
