Orders that ship directly from a manufacturer normally have a firm shipping estimate but those dates are subject to change due to manufacturer production, inventory or shipping. We do our best to estimate ship dates but orders shipping directly from the manufacturer can have unexpected delays. We will confirm tracking information when orders ship directly from a manufacturer but may not have updates or estimates beyond the original estimate. Once your order is placed with the manufacturer, it may not be able to be cancelled even if it hasn't shipped yet.

Special Case Shipping Rates

Please note that shipping rates are subject to change at any time.  We reserve the right to charge an additional fee in addition to the regularly advertised shipping fee for shipping to remote areas not easily accessible by typical freight carrier means (i.e. islands only accessible by ferry). If your order falls into this category, you will be notified upon receipt of your order, and have the option to complete the purchase with additional fee or to cancel the order.  Please note, these instances are very rare, as most locations are reachable by regular freight. The assembly shall be installed with sufficient side clearance for testing and maintenance. The Model 500XL may be installed in any position. If installed in a pit, vault, or inside application, specify the "SC" sealed cage option. Multiple installations are recommend for wide demand variations or where the desired pressure reduction is more than 3 to 1 (i.e.: 150 psi inlet reduced to 50 psi outlet). Anytime a reducing valve is adjusted, a pressure gauge must be used downstream to verify correct pressure setting.

Standards Compliance:

ASSE 1003; cUPC; CSA B356; City of Los Angeles; NSF/ANSI/CAN 61; NSF/ANSI/CAN 372

Features & Benefits:

  • High Pressure Range with HR Option: The Zurn 112-500XLHR features a 75 psi to 125 psi spring range, factory set at 85 psi, ideal for applications requiring higher outlet pressures than standard models.
  • Thermal Expansion Protection: The direct acting integral by-pass check valve design prevents buildup of excessive system pressure caused by thermal expansion, protecting your plumbing system.
  • Balanced Piston Design: Provides smooth and responsive reaction to changes in system flow demand while offering protection from inlet pressure changes for consistent performance.
  • Versatile Installation: Can be installed in any position with sufficient side clearance, suitable for industrial water lines and commercial water systems with high flow capacity requirements.

FAQ

Q: What is the pressure range difference between the 112-500XLHR and standard 112-500XL models?

A: The Wilkins 112-500XLHR features the HR (High Range) option with a 75 psi to 125 psi spring range factory set at 85 psi, while the standard model has a 25 psi to 75 psi range factory set at 50 psi.

Q: Can the 112-500XLHR be installed vertically or horizontally?

A: Yes, the Zurn 112-500XLHR may be installed in any position. However, if installed in a pit, vault, or inside application, the "SC" sealed cage option should be specified for optimal performance.

Q: What is the maximum pressure reduction ratio recommended for this valve?

A: Multiple installations are recommended where the desired pressure reduction exceeds a 3:1 ratio (for example, reducing from 150 psi inlet to 50 psi outlet). A downstream pressure gauge must be used when adjusting the valve.

NOTICE: Do not use with water that is unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection either before or after the system.
