Typical Installation:
The recommended installation orientation is horizontal with the valve cover up. For 6 inch and larger valves, horizontal installation with valve cover up is required due to the difficulty of properly bleeding air out of the cover and performing maintenance on valves installed in the vertical orientation. The Zurn 3-ZW209 should be installed with inlet and outlet shut-off valves for proper maintenance and operation.
