Q: What is the difference between the Hoshizaki KM-520MAJ-E and KM-522MAK?

A: The KM-522MAK switches to environmentally friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant with a much smaller charge, while the KM-520MAJ-E uses R-404A. The new model has slightly lower ice production and higher energy/heat rejection numbers, and features an updated KMEdge cube design, but retains the same footprint, bin compatibility, and warranty terms.
