Q: Is the Haws 6445 compatible with my existing Haws hydration unit?
A: The 6445 is a direct replacement for any Haws fountain or bottle filler using the 6428 filter, including RIVIVE™ Hydration Stations, 1200 Series water coolers, 3600F Series pedestal fountains, and 1000 Series wall-mounted fountains using the 6480 filter kit. For RIVIVE™ and Electric Water Cooler units, a bottle filler nozzle replacement (included) is required.
Q: How often should the Haws 6445 filter cartridge be replaced?
A: The filter should be replaced every 1 year or every 2,500 U.S. gallons (9,463 L), whichever comes first, to ensure continued filtration performance and water safety.
Q: Does the Haws 6445 require any special tools or steps during installation?
A: Installation requires a bit-insert style screwdriver (T20 Torx, 5/16" nut driver, or 5/32" Allen/hex bit) and the included nozzle key. After installing the new cartridge, flush water through the system for 10 minutes to clear any loose carbon particles before use.
NOTICE: Do not use with water that is unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection either before or after the system.
