Q: Can the Haws 1212SFVN be installed over an existing water cooler from another brand?
A: Yes. The 1212SFVN features a specially designed internal configuration that allows it to retrofit over many existing competitor rough-ins, including select models from Elkay/Halsey Taylor, Oasis, Sunroc, and Murdock. Note that the water stop valve must be relocated when retrofitting a filtered model.
Q: Is the bottle filler on the Haws 1212SFVN touchless or push-button operated?
A: The bottle filler is sensor-activated (hands-free), featuring a dual-lens scratch-resistant sensor with LED-illuminated fill area. The drinking fountains use vandal-resistant front push-button operation.
Q: Can the filtration on the Haws 1212SFVN be upgraded to remove PFAS/PFOA contaminants?
A: Yes. While the unit ships with the included 6428 filter (certified for lead, microplastics, and taste & odor), it can be upgraded to the optional 6445 filter, which is NSF/ANSI certified for PFAS/PFOA removal.
