FAQ
Q: Can the Wilkins 3-500XLHR be installed in any position?
A: Yes, the Model 500XL may be installed in any position. For pit or vault installations, the "SC" sealed cage option is recommended.
Q: What is the difference between the HR option and standard spring range?
A: The HR option provides a higher spring range of 75-125 psi (factory set at 85 psi) compared to the standard 25-75 psi range, making the Zurn 3-500XLHR suitable for higher pressure applications.
Q: What is the maximum pressure reduction ratio recommended?
A: Multiple installations are recommended where the desired pressure reduction is more than 3 to 1 (e.g., 150 psi inlet reduced to 50 psi outlet) for optimal performance.
