Installation
- Disconnect the power to the unit to avoid the risk of electric shock.
- Securely mount the filter head to the provided bracket, ensuring the filter cartridge will be positioned above the head.
- Connect the water inlet and outlet tubes to the filter head.
- Shut off the water supply before starting the installation to prevent leaks.
- If replacing an old filter, turn it ¼ turn to the left to remove it.
- Insert the new filter into the filter head and turn it ¼ turn to the right until it locks into place, with the front label clearly visible.
- Turn the water supply back on.
- Flush the system by dispensing water for 10 minutes to remove any air and fine carbon particles.
- For detailed steps, refer to the installation manual provided in the package or contact a licensed plumber/electrician.
Maintenance
- Replace the filter after 3,000 gallons of use or 1 year, whichever comes first.
- Flush the system by dispensing water for 10 minutes after replacing the filter.
- Regularly inspect the system for any leaks in the water connections and ensure the water pressure is within the acceptable range (20–105 psi).
- Clean the exterior of the unit with a soft cloth and mild detergent, avoiding abrasive cleaners.
- If installed in an area prone to freezing, winterize the unit to protect the filter from damage.
