Installation
- Turn off the water supply and unplug the unit before starting.
- Dispense water to relieve pressure in the system.
- Twist the old filter 1/4 turn to the left and remove it.
- Remove the protective cap from the new filter.
- Insert the new filter into the head and twist 1/4 turn to the right until it locks in place.
- Turn the water supply back on and run water for 10 minutes to flush air and carbon particles.
- If your unit has a filter status light, it should reset to green after replacement.
- For detailed steps, refer to the installation manual provided in the package or contact a licensed plumber.
Maintenance
- Replace the filter every 12 months or after 6,000 gallons, whichever comes first.
- Check for leaks after each replacement.
- Only use genuine Elkay filters for best performance and certification.
- Do not use with hot water or allow the filter to freeze.
