Q: Is the Excel 40532 compatible with all ThinAir® hand dryer models?
A: The Excel 40532 is compatible exclusively with ThinAir® hand dryers equipped with the electrostatic HEPA filter kit. It is not compatible with previously installed ThinAir units that were not originally fitted with the electrostatic filtration system.
Q: Can the Excel 40532 pre-filter be cleaned with water?
A: Yes — the stainless steel mesh pre-filter is specifically designed to be rinsed with water for cleaning. This is in contrast to the HEPA filter (Part #40521), which must never come into contact with water. Allow the pre-filter to dry fully before reinstalling.
Q: How often should the Excel 40532 be cleaned or replaced?
A: Inspect and clean the pre-filter whenever dryer performance diminishes. In environments with excessive lint, dust, or airborne particles, more frequent cleaning is recommended. The 40532 is designed to be reused rather than replaced on a fixed schedule.
